Be honest, you're trolling, right? You can't possibly be this delusional. Either way, I hope you and yours get exactly what you voted for.

Just wait until someone with antibiotic resistant TB coughs on your burger — while they limp over to bring it to you.

People will still be poor and sick — they’ll just be more likely to share it with people like you. Some of this will be visible and some of it won’t be. Think about the meth addicts who will be responsible for the safety of your food; The people with epilepsy and diabetes who will be driving to work — hoping that they will be able to afford their prescriptions; The chronically ill, unable to retire, who will be working in all types of service industry jobs — including child care, elder care, and health care support.

What’s really sad is that once enough people realize enough to go: Oopsie! — it really won’t be possible to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. People who are struggling to survive won’t have the wherewithal to take on more sacrifices in the pursuit of the kinds of careers that provide the kinds of services that most of us will desperately need at some point.

A $50 bn bailout fund for rural hospitals is spitting in the wind in comparison to $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts. More hospitals will close. Collins is deeply concerned, I'm sure.

From the story: A clinic in southwest Nebraska announced Wednesday that it is closing due to financial challenges, including anticipated Medicaid cuts.

keep in mind cuts are for people who should not be getting this. If you are illegal and or if you are between 18-60 and able bodied. They are just asking you to volunteer or work 20 hours. Majority of people in the country are okay with this. I keep thinking if I was sneaking in another country the last thought on my mind would be how to get country I snuck in to give me things. Also would not think of asking USA to give me things if I was young and healthy. This is not about people who have legitimate problems because yes there are people from 18-60 who may not be well able to contribute. Also if you can’t find a job then volunteer a bit. How is this horrible?

Medicaid pays for health care. It does not pay people to be unemployed. By definition, if you are using Medicaid, you are using it for health care regardless of your work status. Healthy people aren't going to the doctors and then sitting around in basements playing video games.

Just because they call them "work requirements' doesn't make them it about work. Just because Republicans keep lying to you that federal dollars are paying for illegal immigrants doesn't make it true. States can pay for benefits from their own funds but federal funds cannot be used for illegal immigrants.

The point of this is to make the requirements onerous and make people give up on Medicaid. No one estimates that work rates will increase and states that have tried it have not seen work rates increase. But lots of people get thrown off the rolls because of confusion, faulty websites, not enough staff to help fix things and so on. Just like every state that has tried it so far and failed.

Hospitals will close just like the one in Nebraska did because of looming Medicaid cuts. Everyone in that community will be harmed no matter what kind of health insurance they have.

All those things are peanuts compared to your worsening quality of life, constrained opportunities, and complete lack of political voice in a world of yet wider income distribution.

The richer and richer the billionaires, the more and more negligible you are.

Be clear that over the past 10-15 years, billionaires individual wealth has increased more than 10x. Is that true for your assets?

Post 07/03/2025 11:28     Subject: Re:Big Beautiful Bill

from the NY Times:

"Representative Andrew Clyde, Republican of Georgia, who initially defied party leadership on the bill but back down along with a group of other holdouts, said on social media that he would vote to approve its final passage.

"Clyde said his objection had been over the Senate’s removal of a provision that would have eased regulations on firearms suppressors, or silencers. House leaders had included it to win his support, but it was struck by the Senate parliamentarian under procedural rules.

"Clyde said he spoke with President Trump about the issue and expected to work with the administration on it. In the meantime, he said, would vote to pass the bill to advance Trump’s agenda."

So for one of the Republican holdouts, his big issue is that the bill doesn't make it easier to buy silencers. SMH.

This.
Trump and MAGA own the whole enchilada. From the plunging dollar to the concentration camps for brown skinned people to the violent gun infested Trumpvilles that will spring up housing all the rural whites who have lost Medicaid, Medicare and social security.

Congrats.

A lot of noise and cope in this thread. These are the two provisions that will decide 2028.

Agree and this is a great bill!! Jamie Raskin had trouble complaining about some of the provisions!! Trump is finally a republican who gets middle class. I feel like finally we can bring Dems back to the middle without all the crazy stuff. People are tired of hating on the country and all the pronouns and indoctrination of kids.
People want to work and be with family and be left alone. R and D used to be about this.

Great. If you’re not a bot — or even if you are: Why, exactly, should we be happy? What, exactly, should we really understand? Spell it out — with details and specifics — for the rest of us. Go for it!
