They need to come out as a Republican already.
Because there’s no room for them in your party? Because they’re not using the words “dog whistle” enough yet?
Because they are transparently not actually Democrats and they are just sh**-stirring. And it's annoying.
Translation: I have no patience for anyone who doesn't agree with me, least of all Democrats who value free speech and open debate.

Is using the word “dog whistle” better or worse than actual dog whistling?

Yes- I think they have deep insecurity about getting a picture of themselves and family and they are jealous of the organized people who do these every year.
Most normal people just look at the picture, maybe display for a bit, then throw it out... and don't mention it to anyone. But this person cannot wait to brag about how much she hates these cards!

People who say "anyways" and "welp!"

I like Um...Which is short for ... Listen up— mouth breathing, dumb as a rock, wing nut, conspiracy theory spouting poster, for whom critical reasoning has no home, who actually manages to put Mr. Captain Obvious, of Shallow Waters to shame, I am only going to say this once...
Um...Stays.
The "eh" "meh" poster. If you can't construct a sentence without using that as a start, I can't be bothered to read it.

The Democratic Party holds everyone from actual liberals to so-called "moderates" whose views are pretty typical of 1970s Republicans. It's a much wider spectrum than the Republicans offer.

When a poster asks for advice and the best advice is, actually, to mind one’s own business, what would you like us to say?
“My sister is rich and is putting her kids in private school, and I’m not a parent but I don’t think privates are diverse and real-world enough? What should I tell her?” Or, “My son is 34 and has been dating his girlfriend for 4 years and is going to propose, but I don’t think he’s old enough or has been dating her long enough. What do I say?” Like…the advice is MYOB!
NP. I'd say "OP you should leave it alone, your sister is allowed to make these decisions for herself and her children." Same with son.
I know that people on this board are as a rule rude and care less about being effective than being right, but I don't think saying "MYOB" is all that helpful and is actually a little jarring when that's all the comment says.
But its fine. It's annoying to me but not the worst thing I've seen on DCUM.
I hear you. But sometimes I’m really busy and the poster has so clearly crossed a line that MYOB seems enough.

I don’t think sending your guests to Burger King or to the gas station is a healthy choice, Burger King Lady!
