I care because all the people I know pay far more into the federal income tax system than Donald Trump even if they have more modest professions like childcare or public transport driver. A minor quibble: not only is he running for office, but he is also already in it and profiting mightily.

A former IRS commissioner estimated that so many wealthy Americans don’t pay their fair share of income taxes that it’s like a 15% tax on the rest of us.
We all pay taxes to pay for Trump’s home, personal staff and security. But his tax avoidance is a tax on the rest of them.
