I think a while back we tried to sort out which teams play in which leagues, but I couldn't find that.

I guess if you think playing in a league is an accomplishment. But really, nobody cares about your kids accomplishments. Hell, half the time your Facebook friends don’t really care and they presumably know you. Plastering accomplishments on the back of a car is stupid.
Kids will get criticized and dumped on soon enough. There's no harm in celebrating your child and pushing him/her to do better. There's a short window in life to building up your kid's confidence. They need confidence in life to push themselves, ignore the haters (ahem), and succeed.

I don’t think it is tension. It is more like elititude. It usually comes up in the context of discussing league results. It is hard to explain why people put league stickers on their cars. And it is not just CCL vs VPL. There are some quite nasty attitudes about ODSL from NCSL parents. It is all nuts.
The stickers are the most obnoxious. Especially those “Baby on Board” people just rubbing their fertility in my face or those 26.2 stickers rubbing their marathon running in my face and of course the “my kid is an honor student”. Then there is the “alumni” stickers and the gymnastics stickers, dance stickers, but yes “elitism” is just a soccer thing.![]()

LOL. Fair enough. I think it falls more on the inexplicable side than on the elitist side. Some of the other examples do as well. Now about those hood ornaments . . .
