Trump is completely scattered, mentally - he lacks focus, he constantly interrupts himself, he can barely complete a thought without getting distracted and going off on some weird tangent. He constantly goes off on incoherent rants and diatribes. He constantly launches into weird made-up stories about this or that, how all of the generals or leaders of industry or whatever gather at his knee "with tears in their eyes, saying Sir! ..." and then proclaiming his brilliance and asking his help in some scenario that he totally made up. Compare Trump's speaking patterns and language today to videos of him speaking 20 years ago - it's night and day. He's always been narcissistic and a self-aggrandizing liar, but 20 years ago, used to be a lot more focused and articulate, whereas now he is so much more fragmented and scattered, and he speaks with a 5th grade vocabulary. His decline is like night and day. With Trump it's a lot more than just getting older and slowing down, it's much more significant of a decline. I think he's worse than Biden. And that's not even getting into his physical health - class II obesity, cardiac risk, stroke risk, diabetes risk, cancer risk with his McDonalds junk food and his endless diet cokes every day, and he does not have the genetics either - his father had Alzheimers, his siblings and other relatives did not have longevity, he is a ticking time bomb. It's wild that people try to portray him as sound or healthy..

The RNC can rally around a twice impeached convicted felon who gutted the DOJ and staged a coup, but our ethical, quite effective president and presumptive nominee is being pushed out weeks before the DNC because he’s getting old.
The media and Dem leadership is doing a good job setting the stage for a Trump win.
The democrats recognize that Biden has been a good president. However, the rapid decline of his health simply prevents him from continuing. It's human nature, not a machiavellian plan to push him out.
My issue is that it is shortsighted and irresponsible to just rush along and push Biden out without even having any inkling of a viable replacement. And don't say "oh but other potential candidates have been discussed!" given we don't know if they would agree to it, don't know how they poll against Trump, and in fact some of the names that were floated have already said outright they didn't want to run.
The fact that Biden has to be pushed out without a viable replacement shows how desperate the situation has become. His entourage did not expect his decline to be this rapid.
This mess also shows how important the VP pick is: it has to pave way for the next gen, not just some DEI decision.
There's been a lot of hysterics about supposed "Parkinsons" or other neurological issues. I am not on board with any of that. He's old, he is stiff with arthritis, he has neuropathy in his feet and other issues but I think beyond that the "Parkinsons / dementia" claims are totally hyperbolic. We've seen him unscripted, on his feet answering questions for an hour at the NATO conference and several other interviews, events and discussions, and as someone who has known people suffering from Parkinsons, Alzheimers and other issues, I'm just not seeing it with Biden. Yet we've spun up this whole set of histrionics about something that still seems specious.

I learned not to argue with him, so when I know he's 100% incorrect I just smile and nod.
And to the poster who says Trump is worse, mentally, a neurologist said that nobody with cognitive issues would behave like Trump did when he was shot at. Complete presence of mind. He said it's a better test than the dementia screens.

Just ask Ron Desantis how being the hyped up next thing worked out in practice. None of the alternatives being discussed have gone through the difficult work building a national coalition and developing an understanding of regional issues. Kamala is VP, but let's be real, she is not competent and not going to do better.
What about her is not competent? Be specific.
All you have to do is listen to her speak about anything. It is apparent she is not qualified. She seems like a nice person, but not someone who should be running the country.

That slow gait, the restricted arm movements, those are Parkinsonian. Not arthritis. Does he have Parkinson's? The White House says he doesn't. Okay, so he has a different movement disorder.
He is not fit to be the president for 4 more years. He will be withdrawing soon. Maybe this should have happened earlier, but sometimes things don't go according to plan. We, the American people, can handle this.

DP...that isn't specific.
So you don't like her voice?
Because the actual words are pretty similar to other democrats.

She might be jealous having someone else be the first female president, but I think she would be thrilled to deny Donald a second term.
