Given his generation, he may have also have liked that she has not had sex since her husband. Leslie said it had been one year.
Per Gerry, there was no sex in either fantasy suite. They talked all night since no cameras and could have deeper conversations.

It's definitely a head vs. heart thing, but his daughters will push him in the head direction, exploiting the reasonable doubts he has about Leslie's stability and commitment.
Unfortunately I suspect he's not done vacillating. It will probably be a painful back-and-forth until the bitter end. It honestly wouldn't shock me if he now thinks he's decided it's Theresa, especially after his family's input, but then he switches back again because his heart is really with Leslie even though she makes little sense on paper. But I hope not. I think Leslie can do better, and I'd definitely enjoying seeing her as the Golden Bachelorette.
It's possible his "mistake" was now picking Theresa and he reverses his decision at the end. He seems like a mess. Ugh.

The last episode proved how little these people know each other; Gerry shouldn’t be that hard to get over.
This would be the best outcome for Leslie anyway imo.

Cooking videos to make her seem more well-rounded (not just a pretty face). It comes across to me as to me as too calculated.
In the end, you have to have the personality to carry the leading role. The personality she showed while on the show was a more quiet, reserved, cautious and graceful personality. That's perfectly fine in the real world. It makes you a lovely friend, co-worker, mother. Doesn't make you a good lead. A lead needs to have a happy, open, confident personality.
Someone is telling Joan that she can be the next bachelorette if she raises her profile.
