First the Jan 6th televised hearings and now this Speaker marathon.

Too delicious. I hope it really brings home to people that they should stay away from Republicans. The Hearings cost the right the mid-terms. Maybe this, and the continued Republicans in-fighting, will seal the deal for a blue wave in 2024.

Did McCarthy lose another vote to "present" this round? The vote trackers are showing one less vote overall.

Last time it took 2 months for the dissolution of the party. This time? Things move faster now, fwiw.

Neither of them are or ever will be famous. They are notorious. Huge difference.

Gaetz, qualifies for infamous.

Not at all. No one will remember him 100 years from now. He's but a gnat on the body politic. He won't ever amount to anything important, good or bad.

I say they should nominate Santa Claus. It's as likely as McCarthy.

The Democrats have a perfectly good leader that they're behind. The Republicans can nominate whoever they want. This circus, these monkeys, it's all on them.

Gaetz went to the Dems side, probably to discuss whether they’ll join forces to force another vote tonight.

I've read all he wants is the gavel. someone in his family should've gotten him one from Amazon for xmas.

the reporters are camped outside of the Speaker's office. He has to slink by there every time he needs to squat in space.

Of course, not! Once he loses more than 4 votes, he's toast.
