I am proud that we have chosen life in TN.
Oh great more meth addicted people in the world- cause you won’t actually take care of the people, just the fetuses.
Isn't TN last in the country in education?
Nashville is booming and TN is one of the fastest growing states at the moment.
Not for long.
+1000 My professionally successful cousins in a group chat texted me they are moving out of TN anywhere but red state.
Bless their hearts! We wish them success and prosperity in their new homes.

For another thing, this is what they’ve campaigned on for decades. Think how fired up pro choice voters will be. Think how incendiary the anger of women who understand that the GOP thinks they’re just a uterus with legs and that they have no right to self determination or bodily autonomy.
And they’re not done. The right wing is clearly planning violence to try and pin it on pro choice people again, but we see them coming this time.
Tell on all your forced birther friends and family who have gotten an abortion. Share their names with everyone. Statistically speaking, forced birthers are just as likely to have had an abortion as pro choice people. Even the two repetitive pps who have been baby sitting this thread from Tennessee.

This will blow over by next week just like Ukraine

Maybe. Not really what I’m picking up. I’m getting mostly unmitigated glee, some schadenfreude, and for the true believers a sense of peaceful satisfaction with having finally won a decades’ long battle. But on the other hand, sure, you seem like someone who has a genuine grasp on the mindset of pro-lifers.![]()
As for pro choice voters being fired up and mobilized politically? Time will tell. I’d love it if some of those women reallocated time from promiscuous sex and visiting the clinic to engaging civically for what they believe in.

Why is this an issue. Is this a another “motherhood is magical” thing? Because she can certainly comprehend that she wants to make her own choices for her life without being married with a child.
What a stupid post.
The fact that 59% of abortion patients already have at least one child means there are plenty of pro-choice mothers to pick from.
And that’s not including the mothers like me who haven’t had abortions but became even more pro-choice once we experienced the full difficulties of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. My (unplanned) child is the light of my life, but I wouldn’t wish this on anyone who wasn’t willing going in.
I was always pro-choice but became staunchly so when pregnant with my first. It was hard AF. And by the time I got accidentally pregnant with a third that was most definitely not wanted, I was busy researching my abortion options. Fortunately for me, nature intervened and I miscarried. I had to have a D&C to make sure everything was gone. But some of these sickos believe even that is a crime. Its my most fervent wish that all of these people rot in hell.
+1. First pregnancy with husband ended in a miscarriage. I had to have a D&C which I guess would be illegal now?
A Dand C is not an abortion dip shit.
Yes, actually, it is. If a doctor has to assist your miscarriage, congratulations. You have had an abortion.
Yup.
I really cannot believe how uninformed and plain stupid some of these posters are. I guess that helps explain how we got here.
Ca
Agreed. A d+c for a miscarriage is NOT an abortion! F ing morons!
Uh. It is. There are some dead women who couldn’t get them who would like a word.
A miscarriage itself is a spontaneous abortion. OMG I can’t believe the ignorance here!
You are the ignorant one, sweetie.
Sometimes a spontaneous miscarriage does not clear everything out. When you go into sepsis and die because a D&C is, in fact, an abortion and you couldn’t get one let us know how it goes from the great beyond!
An ABORTION is a d+c of a LIVING fetus, not a dead one.
Spontaneous Abortion
(Miscarriage)
By Antonette T. Dulay , MD, Main Line Health System
Last full review/revision Oct 2020
Spontaneous abortion is noninduced embryonic or fetal death or passage of products of conception before 20 weeks gestation. Threatened abortion is vaginal bleeding without cervical dilation occurring during this time frame and indicating that spontaneous abortion may occur in a woman with a confirmed viable intrauterine pregnancy. Diagnosis is by clinical criteria and ultrasonography. Treatment is usually expectant observation for threatened abortion and, if spontaneous abortion has occurred or appears unavoidable, observation or uterine evacuation.
Spontaneous abortion, by definition, is death of the fetus; it may increase the risk of spontaneous abortion in subsequent pregnancies.
Fetal death and early delivery are classified as follows:
Abortion: Death of the fetus or passage of products of conception (fetus and placenta) before 20 weeks gestation
Fetal demise ( stillbirth): Fetal death after 20 weeks
Preterm delivery: Passage of a live fetus between 20 weeks and 36 weeks/6 days
Abortions may be classified as follows (see table Classification of Abortion):
Early or late
Spontaneous or induced for therapeutic or elective reasons
Threatened or inevitable
Incomplete or complete
Recurrent (also called recurrent pregnancy loss)
Missed
Septic
Classification of Abortion
About 20 to 30% of women with confirmed pregnancies bleed during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy; half of these women spontaneously abort. Thus, incidence of spontaneous abortion is up to about 20% in confirmed pregnancies. Incidence in all pregnancies is probably higher because some very early abortions are mistaken for a late menstrual period.
Are retained products of conception and a retained placenta the same thing?
Sometimes the entire placenta (also called “afterbirth”) remains in the womb after childbirth. A retained placenta can lead to hemorrhaging (bleeding), severe infection or even death.
A retained placenta most commonly happens after a vaginal delivery. But RPOC is more common when a pregnancy ends early. It may not cause problems until days, weeks or even months after the pregnancy ends.
...
How are retained products of conception treated?
There are several treatments for RPOC, including:
Misoprostol: You may receive this drug by mouth or through your vagina. In pregnant women, it helps to induce labor. After an early pregnancy failure or an incomplete abortion, it triggers your body to expel (force out) retained tissue.
Dilation and curettage (D&C): D&C is a minor surgical procedure to remove the contents of the uterus. Your healthcare provider dilates (opens) your cervix and uses a curette (small surgical tool) or suction to remove tissue.

I wouldn’t put it past them. The right draws a lot of lunatic and psychopaths.

Yes, actually, it is. If a doctor has to assist your miscarriage, congratulations. You have had an abortion.
I have federal health insurance and they paid for my D & C after a miscarriage; they wouldn't have paid for an abortion to end a live pregnancy. But yeah, the laws in red states are going to call it all "abortion".
No they will not because they are by definition NOT.
It’s right here in my medical record. It gave me a jolt the first time I read it.
Keep living in denial though.
Again, a procedure to remove an already dead fetus is NOT an abortion of a living baby. Get the f over yourselves.
IDIOT. It is still an abortion and it is still banned! WTF is wrong with you? Did you believe all the propaganda you were subjected to, that liberal feminists were blood thirsty witches? You still think we just like to make things up, be hysterical? Come on over to the dark side because your forced birther party is ducking things all the way up. Birth control is next - Louisiana already had a ban in progress. What other truths can we tell you that you have so far ignored?
+1. Do you think there’s an undertone of panic in these posts? I see people desperately trying to convince themselves that ITS ALL GOING TO BE FINE, NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. MY D&C WAS A PROPER ONE, A LEGAL ONE.
LOL. And they should be panicking. Its going to get a lot worse. But hey, at least those kids everyone will be forced to have will have a great chance of getting a bullet in their brains in a few short years.

Did you know that Ginnie Thomas is childless. She and Clarence Thomas have no kids together. Thomas’s son from a previous marriage to a black woman bo longer has a relationship with him.
Mitch McConnell is no longer on speaking terms with his daughters from his first marriage. He has no children with Elaine Chao.
Kinda weird that we have so many childless rightwing elites or those estranged from their own families making policies on this stuff.
Thomas is a father and McConnell is a father. Got it.
Why are their wives childless? Why do they not have healthy relationships with their own offspring?
So weird.
Why is that your business? Do you ask everyone who is childless why they are childless?
They will have privacy when we have ours back. Until then enjoy the scrutiny.
No. Don't be a hypocrite. Unless you are willing to berate ALL PRO BIRTHER women for being childless, you need to shut up.
