At some point the GOP will get hammered enough about the Government being closed that more Senators will need to flip. This is not a popular shutdown, and people are hurting, not just in this DC area but in other parts of the country. Food pantries are running out of food, mortgages are not being paid and even non-feds are suffering the ripple effects.

When are GOP senators going to overthrow McConnell? He's a terrible Senate leader and has shirked his Constitutional duties.
I can't imagine that the more moderate GOP Senators are going to allow this BS go on for much longer.
Terrible is in the eyes of the beholder. He has put two conservative justices on the Supreme Court and a 3rd is in sight.

Per the Axios article (previously cited), the WH has no strategy or endgame but is going to try inviting newly elected Democrats to the WH to woo them, hoping that they'll abandon Pelosi but not expecting it.
What newly elected Senator would vote for his wall? There’s no way he’s getting enough votes in the House. That have 8 Republicans on their bipartisan bill.
