Does this mean that STA will have even fewer spots for boys applying for 6th grade entry this fall? I know that 7th grade is traditional entry point, and that only a few boys are taken for 6th grade.

No, I think that STA decided to increase the size of each class by a few boys. Therefore, we can expect the number of openings in each grade to stay about the same, assuming the same rate of attrition.

So has the size of every class now grown? What is that number for each (in lower school).

Not sure why everyone but the blue collar workers are presumed to be snobs.

How big is the 4th grade this coming year? It was around 39 not long ago, but I know it has crept up to at least 45.

That was actually my point. That nurse is about as blue collar as I'd ever seen at St. Albans, and fully understanding that nurse is NOT a blue collar job.

But then, it's not like there is a private school out there that is full of cab drivers and construction workers. I assume it's about the same in all the private schools.
For me, over educated is relative to one's job. The Ph.D. working as a cab driver, etc.

What other blue collar jobs have you seen among the parent body, PP? I haven't seen anybody. Nurse is about as blue collar as it gets.
Nursing has a Bachelor's Degree as a requirement. Though you are paid by the hour in non-management positions , it hurts less when you are making $120k a year working 4 days a wk. with 6 wks paid vacation a year.
