I don’t follow football at all. I knew Travis well before Taylor started dating him because he played in the same Super Bowl as his brother and that was a cool story that got a lot of attention.
Then his brother retired and did a podcast and his brother is charming as hell. I love Jason. Again never knew him to play football game. Then I “got to know” Kylie and she does a podcast and I don’t miss it. I don’t know who this Tony guy is. Does is his wife or sibling have a podcast? I’m guessing no.
Yes, Taylor absolutely added to Travis lore, but he had a lot going for him that most football players don’t.
DP. It sounds like the other thing he had going for him is having a famous brother?
Are you being deliberately obtuse? I’m not a marketer. All I know is that I don’t follow football. I’ve never heard of Tony but I’ll absolutely take your word for it that he was apparently a better player than Travis. But the new Heights podcast is incredibly popular in part because Jason his famous brother is so likable and he married Kylie, who also is very likable and has an incredibly popular podcast.
So yes, even without Taylor the Kelce family would probably be in the zeitgeist and be pretty popular. Or at least more popular than Tony Rodriguez. Whoever that is.
+1
I don't follow football at all either and had never heard of either Kelce brother before Taylor Swift started dating Travis. But like you, I love Jason! He is so good on his podcast, both really intelligent and very articulate (except when he's dropping his f-bombs). I like the rapport he and Travis have together - both seem like decent, kind men. I wish they'd shave their beards though, especially Jason.![]()
"both really intelligent and very articulate"?!? Really?

I mean, obviously she couldn’t.

Matty Healy drops a album that is a smashing success - word is he has two albums in production - at the same time that Travis doesn't even make it to the playoffs. Travis retires. Taylor likes shiny things and Matty is newly shiny while Kelce is . . . not. Will this propel her where she really wants to be rather than where she thinks people want her to be? Maybe. She played our game and it sucked worse than her chaotic love with the edgelord.
Seriously, compare lyrics on TTPD and TLOAS. You don't marry fun vibes when they aren't fun anymore.
Matty does not want her. Hence why he is engaged to someone else.
Not so sure. He just said one of his albums will be called DOGS. She wrote Black Dog for him on TTPD and a black dog featured heavily in her Fortnite video and in his Part of the band video. Yesterday he was teaching some lucky kids at a college in Scotland how to craft a song and a kid videoed him stringing significant versuses and chords together from “I’m in love with you” “About You” and “Robbers”. All three songs he had dedicated to Taylor in the past. I love the 1975’s music and can’t wait for his double album answer to her double album. Still communicating through music. Matty is about to become more famous that ever. It’s going to eat at Taylor. This situation is messy and not over.
I think the Black Dog was about Joe.
The Black Dog is a late-night rock bar (according to their Insta) in Cork, Ireland, where Matty Healy has been spotted when his band performs in Cork. The 1975 had a concert at Musgrave Park in Cork on Tuesday, June 13, a week after Taylor & Matty broke up. There are also the lyrics about The Starting Line, one of Matty’s favorite bands, dating someone much younger (Gabriette is 10 years younger than Matty & Taylor), and “six weeks of breathing fresh air, I still miss the smoke” - the same cigarette smoke she mentions in Cardigan, TTPD the song, and Slut!
DP. "The Black Dog" is about the pub of the same name in London. This is a well-established fact.

What fact?! Quoting some random article in Food & Wine doesn’t make it a fact. Joe Alwyn himself said he had never set foot in that pub and doesn’t know it. This is the actual establishment from the song:

Taylor loves to mislead her fans with double meanings, red herrings etc. I wouldn’t be surprised if Joe was chosen by her PR to be her “long-term boyfriend” because he is English, just like Matty. The perfect coverup for her spending a lot of time in London over the years and writing songs about London boys. The ironic part is that Joe isn’t even from London, but Matty is.
You need therapy.
