Go look at the rankings. 44 teams go to nationals. If you don't see anything above 22 for your team, what are you so hurt about? Example, NVA's 2012s are 12th in the ECNL for their age. Just because they switch leagues are they any less quality of players? No, they're the same team and can compete with anyone else no matter the league. Is there some fine print I'm missing about ECNL guaranteeing that your kid gets a full ride to college?
If you can't understand the very large difference in number of college coaches at ECNL showcases/tournaments vs GA showcases/tournaments and the large discrepency in the number of ECNL girls in high level soccer colleges vs GA, we can't help you. The coaches are not just scouting Nationals, why is every GA hat so concerned with Nationals? College and USWNY scouts are scouting at almost every major ECNL showcase. Tournament after tournament the ECNL girls mop up on GA teams. Sure, there are a couple of GA teams here and there that are good, maybe even great. But not in THIS area. There is not a local GA team that could hold a candle to the ECNL talent in this area. So this move means that the quality of teams the Loudoun girls will be playing week in and week out will go drastically down. One of the best ways to get better is to play quality opponents. That is why we think ECNL is so much better for our daughter in THIS area. I know that you will respond with some nonsense that GA is the future because a couple of teams defected (forgetting about all the GA teams that moved to ECNL the last few years). But that is just speculation and the simple numbers of scouts and placement at colleges are facts.

MLS and GA will soon be DA.2.0
You will thank their leadership in a few years.
But DA failed so don't put the cart before the horse
The big difference now is that MLS is backing these leagues, and they’ve got some serious cash. These leagues are definitely here to stay!

some parents whos kids needed a booster via usynt id invites probably knew. Which was disgusting btw to see siblings get sent up to get sent back. Anyways it was called months ago. Dont ever doubt this forum.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:You saw it here first. Tears will be shed. Some with joy and excitement, others with bitterness and resentment.
72 pages and 3 months ago you were informed of subject thread.
Of course, naysayers jumped quickly to laugh and denigrate. All the while, some club’s director lied to parents’ faces leading them to believe they were also being considered because they applied. Remember this when they dangle another carrot in front of you. Despicable and dishonest behavior.
Good luck in NCSL & EDP.
