The West has never considered Russians fully white, or indeed, fully human.
This is why you never see any discussion at all about the horrors of Nazi occupation in the USSR. These victims don't really count. When they are brought up, it's always with a qualification that somehow makes it less real, or less horrible, or less attributable to Germany.
The USSR existed after WW2. There was no USSR until Stalin declared it.
So yeah; it sucks - this why everyone in Eastern Europe and the West hates Russia . They are truly not of this earth; like a Tolkien mythical creation.

Stupid post. Lenin started it; Stalin made it the iron curtain. USSR was post ww1; but only dived under Stalin. But still, Poland and Ukraine Yugoslavia and a few others escaped the abyss of Russian culture.
