I can 100% believe this could be the case. How did you find it out?

What does that even mean? I don't believe TN is one of the states that doesn't require voter ID.
OK, I am home with a stomach bug, and I was bored, so I did a deep dive into this. Apparently, when he went to vote, a woman came out and told him that he was going to need his drivers license and his voter registration card. And now, as Paul Harvey would say, here is “the rest of the story.”
First of all, the woman was black. She was a voter who had stood in the long line and they had asked her if she had her voter registration with her. She was not a white poll worker wearing a MAGA hat who was depriving people of their right to vote. She was reporting as in, “FYI, they might ask for this.”
Secondly, the power in the polling place was out, and they were having to look up everybody manually in the books. I am a poll worker, and I know that that can be time-consuming. With the extremely high turnout for early voting, I can see how that would have been causing massive back ups as they try to do that one person at a time. If he had his voter registration card, they would be able to process him more quickly since they would not have to look him up.
Also, we want to process people as efficiently and quickly as possible. I can’t imagine that while the woman was standing there as they went through the books, that the poll worker who was trying to process her did not say, “we’re so sorry, but since our system is down, we have to do this by hand. Do you by any chance have your voter registration card so we could do this more quickly?”
Such a simple explanation, but 1. That doesn’t invite engagement, and 2. That doesn’t reinforce your victim mentality.

Then I guess no one is going to do the bare minimum to explain it to you. On principle, of course.
Who are you, and why are you here if you don't know who "this person" is?
