She can’t tell the truth unless she is wiling to risk going to jail herself or having the Trump admin coming after her. We know she doesn’t have morals, ethics, or empathy for victims so this will be a big nothing.
How would she have any criminal liability for anything? Prosecutors have broad discretion to pursue criminal violations or not — there’s no liability for them (civil or criminal) for failing to do so. I also don’t think it’s a crime for her to not turn over files she was supposed to turn over — you can’t just criminally prosecute a federal employee for being bad at their job. Maybe she could be held in contempt of Congress but that’s about it, unless I’m missing something.
