Correct. It was a sound trial, the jury delivered their verdict. There’s nothing to overturn. They will appeal but he’s done. As he should be.
Agree. Time to stop calling this country systemically racist. Pockets, yes, systemic racism? No. This is the least racist country in the world right now.
Oh my lord. Is that your takeaway? This sounds like "we have a black president, we must be post racist now." We are so screwed.
Wherever you believe there’s systemic racism today, please say where exactly.... right here.
Sure. Off the cuff - Black folks get higher loan rates than whites, even when you control for financial factors, credit scores, etc. Black people are routinely given harsher sentences for similar charges, even when their criminal record a) doesn't exist or b) is "better" than a white defendant. Black people routinely have poorer health outcomes, and researchers can't really scientifically figure out why (hint - it's racism). Black children's traits are labeled negatively, while the same traits are labeled in a positive manner for White children.
Shall I go on?
For health outcomes, it's not due to racism. Health outcomes were not disparate in the 1950s and earlier. Rather, the difference in health outcomes is due to the individual's perception of racism.

Eric Nelson looked close to tears after the verdict—his glasses were even a little foggy. I can’t imagine what he feels either.
You’re a racist pig.
Chauvin will likely be shipped off to a private prison someplace far out like Alaska. But hey, if you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime! Don’t care what happens to Chauvin. Would not be surprised if he committed suicide.

The prosection did an excellent job. Even still, they never convict in these cases. Except this one.
The ACLU said this is the first time in Minnesota state history that a white police officer has been held accountable for killing a Black man.
And Ari Melber at MSNBC tweeted that from 2005 to 2015, across thousands of police killings, the number of police officers convicted of murder for shooting a person was zero.
Why doesn’t he care about one single one of the white men that cops killed?
“Thousands of police killings” doesn’t distinguish what color the victims are.
Except Ari reports on it only if it’s a black victim. I don’t get it.
Got evidence for that?
No, there’s no evidence that Ari ever reported about a white man getting killed by a cop.
He definitely reported on the Daniel Shaver shooting.
Who?
This guy. If you think all lives matter, why haven’t you heard of him? There were marches for him, too. Cop got acquitted.

Um, 12News is not a national news source.
Yes, but I watch national news sources, not 12News, and I saw lots of coverage on it.

Google, damn you. Type in Daniel Shaver and see what you get.
FIVE years ago? No white man shot by a cop since then? You are ridiculous.
