Not that...but he gave her $5k and she has $100 left - but he can't figure out what she spent it on. Maybe it's totally legit and he has no concept of what things cost, but this is about the 3rd episode in a row where he's harping on her about money.

I think it's a normal discussion for expectant parents to have--what was unfortunate for New Guy was, as you said, he doesn't know how to be with Amber. He was trying to discuss it, giving solutions to her problem with what he supposedly wanted to do. Like, we don't have to know the sex to prepare a nursery and buy baby gear, we can still be prepared AND not find out. Since that was her main point: WE NEED TO PREPARE. If, like a normal person, she had said, "I just really want to know the sex of the baby as soon as possible, because that's my preference," maybe he wouldn't have continued the discussion.

I think you're right about Matt--he was always building Ambah up and putting her on that pseudo pedestal of "You deserve this, people don't understand you like I do, nobody understands how stressed you are, etc etc." Amber without her meds is even uglier than Amber with her meds.

To be clear, that's just a possibility I've seen speculated. I believe that she believed she was pregnant. I don't think she would get Nova involved and go through a whole thing if she knew it was a false positive. Most people would probably read up on what happens when you remove your IUD (much like they might read up on why they should quit smoking, especially when trying to become pregnant) and find out that this is something that does happen. Your hormones are all over the place and can trigger false positives for a pregnancy test. But then again, she did say that she pregnant with Nova about a month after she had it taken out the last time, so she may have had good reason to believe it was real this time around, even though it was so soon.

She’s off her meds due to the pregnancy. She has BPD and there it is, unmedicated. Always looking for a fight, too “stressed” to do anything, and seeing any conversation as an unreasonable challenge to argue.
