Then what? Come up with a BBB v2 and try again? Go with separate bills, as Congress usually does? Just stick with CRs for the next 3 years?

They’ll promise them something and flip them.

What is worth 12 million illegal immigrants losing health coverage?

Fixed that for you

That number is NOT illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants don’t get federal healthcare benefits. You are so hateful and ignorant. You are cheering on the destruction of your own fellow citizens. How patriotic.

There are NO illegal immigrants receiving any social security, medicare or medicaid. If you believe that, then you don't know how the system works or what controls are in place.

MAGA sources of information told them illegals are getting benefits and that the Big Beautiful Bill won't cut Medicaid and they believe their sources over all other rational thought.

Maybe Trump will listen to Bannon and veto the bill.

This bill is disgusting. Increases taxes on the poor to cut them on the rich and explodes the deficit.

Don’t ever tell me anyone who votes for this is worried about the deficit when they are adding more to the country’s debt than we incurred in the first 200 years of our country— and for what?

So a bunch of billionaires can spend more more on yachts and trips to space while nursing homes shut down and kick the elderly poor out.

There's only 813 billionaires in America. Some are even Democrats.

I don't care what state, party, or demographic you want to cite. Get rid of it before it bankrupts us.

Germany has had socialized medicine since Otto von Bismarck, in the 1880s. It hasn't bankrupted them. And before you say "but but that's COMMUNISM" Bismarck was a staunch conservative and hated socialists and communists (passing the Anti-Socialist law in 1878) but even he was capable of recognizing good tools for statecraft and governance. Socialized medicine was passed in 1883, followed by accident insurance in 1884, followed by old-age/disability pensions in 1889.

The only good news is more Republicans will suffer under this than democrats.

This bill, along with the actions of ICE, ends the re[ublic as we have known it. Perhaps enough people will get angry enough to do something about it, but the US century that began at WW2 is over now.

It is, yes. And happily they've changed it.

They have changed it - although as a Democrat I wish they had left it as is to tie it to Trump like an anchor.

Loooooong tradition of this. They’re the “keep your goddamn government hands off my Medicare” party.

It’s God’s will to the rich Republicans.
