We have to see the numbers after two months. There was a Trump effect in 2017 as well.

Mike Johnson is a liar. Every number, regardless of topic, we're seeing out of government right now is completely suspect.

LOL.
You just can’t admit that Biden was a disaster and repeatedly lied to the public that there was no more he could do. The numbers are accurate. CBP is thrilled that they can actually do their jobs.

How do you know they're accurate? Karoline Leavitt just said that tens of millions of Americans have died from fentanyl. That's not remotely close to reality.

More progress

Look at the change in attitudes in only 2 weeks. Illegal Aliens will be self deporting for the next 4 years.

The funding stops that Trump has put in place is stopping some of this organized illegal immigration.

Whey the long term detention and why not just move them out?

Is this cover for something far worse, like it's not about illegals but a place to put political opponents beyond the reach of the US court system?

GTMO will be a holding facility for the violent criminal migrants whose countries refuse to take them back.
Better they stay at GTMO than in your neighborhood, right?

DP. Honestly, I think we should build a facility in some of these neighborhoods where people are protesting the deportation of illegal immigrants. Fine, we'll create an area in YOUR neighborhood, full of violent criminals. You deal with them.

"The criminals" means EVERY person of questionable status in the US. They are NOT prioritizing gang members or violent criminals, they are just sweeping up EVERYONE they can.

Including US military veterans. https://pix11.com/news/local-news/ice-agents-raid-nj-seafood-store-detaining-u-s-military-veteran/

Including US citizens from Puerto Rico. https://6abc.com/post/owners-puerto-rican-restaurant-philadelphias-port-richmond-section-say-ice-agents-showed-warrant/15848835

White House Press Secretary CONFIRMED it and said they are going after ALL people in the US who crossed the border illegally, overstayed visas, and so on. NO prioritization of violent criminals or gang members, they are ALL in the same bucket. https://www.axios.com/2025/01/28/trump-immigrants-criminals-white-house-briefing

I'm citing the actual White House and actual news reports. You are just citing your own whiny denials. Why are YOU spreading disinformation?

There is something discordant in your post. Maybe the parts in BOLD ?

If you, as an American, committed those crimes in Mexico or the EU (or most of the world), how would you expect the host country to react and what legal “right” to stay there do you imagine you would have?

+1
Exactly. If I, an American, was living without permission (i.e. ILLEGALLY) in a foreign country, I'd be looking over my shoulder daily, waiting for the authorities to find and deport me. But somehow, we're expected to turn a blind eye to this when happens in our country?

Because some countries either aren't going to take their violent criminals back (gosh, I wonder why??) or they can't be trusted to lock them up and keep them there. That's why.

This is so true. Instead of applauding the deportation of gang members and other violent criminals, they will focus on someone who may have been wrongly questioned (not arrested or deported, mind you) instead. It's really astounding to me that Democrats want to make it as hard as possible to REMOVE these people from our country. Gotta wonder why.

Here's an actual news report for you.

Twenty-five members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua were arrested by ICE on Monday, according to a senior administration official.

In total, there were 969 arrests on just that day, including a convicted member of MS-13 whom ICE arrested in Dallas.

They will have to go back for 10 years to get papers is not that easy. I understand if you committed a real crime and found guilty of Felony then yes, deported, but you can't deport everyone who might be here undocumented. What ever happen to what will Regan do? amnesty to nearly 3 million illegal immigrants.

Illegally entering the country is a crime.

Is it also a crime to organize people in foreign countries to come here en masse and usher in caravans across our open border, which is kept open? Who committed the crime here? People who were told they'd find sanctuary here or those who lied to them and used them? FWIW, I am not at all against deporting criminals and all sorts of sketchy characters that crossed the border from all over the world. But calling everyone (especially families with kids) criminals for following the path laid out by someone else is no moral high ground you pretend you stand on.
