And I’m disgusted by the party’s fringe reaction to her potentially selecting a Jew- looking at you, the Cynthia Nixons and the Rashida tlaibs of the party. Crying on social media that it would be a death sentence for the party to nominate Shapiro, who has called Netanyahu Israel’s worst leader of all time and is probably less pro Israel than walz - IS antisemitic. Kamala gave into a disgusting part of the dem fringe by forgoing Shapiro. I have no issues with walz, but in my opinion he’s not an asset to the campaign, sort of how Hilary picked Tim Kaine who wouldn’t overshadow her.
If Trump wasn’t the Republican nominee I’m not sure I’d vote for Kamala after this.
Ok. Thanks for that anecdote

Walz is seen as open border, sanctuary city far left radical.
+1
Democrats can explode with happiness and joy that Walz “looks normal” and pretend his folksy shtick will play with SEC fans. Hint: It won’t. People will see the things Walz has done in MN and run away from him.

Because the anti-Israel activists in the party would have gone even more crazy due to Shapiro’s presence on the ticket. So don’t be at all surprised when the late night Philly magic doesn’t happen on election night.
This was exactly my reaction to this news. How you all are celebrating the anti-semitism of the far left that this choice has given its stamp of approval for is beyond me. This is not a "unifying" choice, unless your version of the Democratic party expunges a whole lot of Jews. PA is going to go to Trump.

The point is to pivot from the "end of democracy" that inadvertently made Trump look more powerful when the fact is he's a weak, clownish and yes, weird guy who should be made fun of far more. Ridicule also has the benefit of being more effective vs. fascism/authoritarianism.
So fight fascism with fascism? Or adopting Trump's tactics, making fun of others? Sorry I just don't think it's a winning line of attack.
The majority of Americans disagree with you.

That can't be true since nobody heard of him until yesterday.
+1. The right wing trolls are such desperate dorks.

The left has been negging Trump for his weight but think Walz is charming.

I’m fine with them. Pretty sure they’ve been around for longer than I have, and we are not a socialist country.
But good try.
Pp here. I support them as well. But they are “socialist” policies. I’m tired of people saying how much they hate “socialism” when they clearly support a lot of “socialist” policies.
The interstate highway system is also socialist, as is the US Postal system, the military, the FAA and a host of other "government services"
Exactly! That’s my point. We have many “socialist” programs. They are good for our economy and our people. Which is why people who criticize Walz (and others) for being a “socialist”need to stop and think about what policies they are objecting to. My guess is that the folks who are so angry about “socialist” politicians are happy to collect their disability checks and complain loudly about potholes not being fixed.
Move to Venezuela- they love socialism
DP. These are the countries that have some form of universal health care, which MAGA considers to be "socialist." Most of our closest allies are in that list. And as far as Venezuela goes, it's more of a kleptocracy than anything else.
