competing with them. But good for them for trying to help out their community.

I don't see why they exist, really, Sterling soccer is well run, has financial aid, and actual decent fields.

Sterling well run??!?! Really? Deportivo Sterling destroys Sterling teams year after year at any of the age groups that Deportivo has a team. Deportivo wasn't made to take players but to support a huge group of kids who can't and/or don't want to pay $3000 to play soccer. As far as the fields go, what does that have to do with anything? They practice on grass, you don't need perfect turf to make you a good player or learn how to play the game, and if anyone has seen Deportivo play, they can see that those kids love the game and beat many of the "great" "top" teams who have amazing turf in "well run" clubs

He is very responsive. I find it shocking (more so unbelievable) that he ignored anyone.

I’m the PP who said we were ignored. He eventually responded but it took a long time and follow up email.

i am curious as well. we have not had a good experience this year coming over from a different club. The practices need admin supervision. Every week there are multiple large groups of teens and adult men trying to play on the field throughout their entire practice, kids riding bikes and scooters right through the practices, and money and a hoodie were stolen from my son's soccer bag on the sideline at Hutchison last week. I have heard Arrowbrook is even worse but luckily we don't practice there. The coaches can't keep the random people off the field. They need to close the field areas completely during the team practices.

Why not have parents help keep others off the field?

So as parents we are supposed to pay $3000 a year to the club AND we should be policing the field to make sure our kids have a safe area to play? What are we paying the money for? The club has more than enough coaches, admins and people getting paid to provide a safe environment for the kids to play.
Do you go to a restaurant, pay for your food then go in the back and cook it yourself?

Its at a public space and even though there are permits to reserve fields, the people that visit the field are absolutely clueless about it. They see the field open on weekends or off days and assume its always open to the public. Then they don't understannd why a coach or parent has to tell them to get off and think its racial profiling or bullying them into who has right of field.

Maybe having an LED lighting system that lights RED when not open to public and GREEN when open. Who knows...

The club needs to communicate to the community, mark the fields and provide a safe environment for the kids. Many of the other clubs will have club personnel "police" the area and let everyone know that they can't be on the field. It shouldn't have to be a paying parent who is dropping off their child for practice.
