The President retains his clearance and can declassify anything he wants. And did. Publicly stated.
At this point, a huge percentage of the American people do not, and will not, believe anything that's said.
If he had declassified all of it there would be a proper paper trail, and he still couldn’t take them with him because they’re the property of the U.S. Government.
He stated that he was declassifying all of it. Publicly. To the American public. And if that wasn't done, who's fault is that? Legal dragged their feet. They didn't follow through. You best tell Obama he wasn't allowed to take papers because he told a TON of pages
Honey, that was just a tweet, not a formal government statement. For those who couldn't figure that out, it was later clarified that he wasn't declassing everything. Or anything.

Stop lying. An ex-President cannot declassify anything. Obama went through the proper channels and respected deadlines. Trump didn't do anything so in effect he STOLE federal property, some of it top secret.
IT IS NOT ANYONE'S FAULT EXCEPT TRUMP'S.
They were declassified before he left office.

The president has no “clearance.” And a former president can’t so much as declassify his own bowel movements. So good luck to anyone attempting to definitively prove Trump “declassified” any of the materials squirreled away in a basement storage locker. And regardless of classification, he knowingly violated the Presidential Records Act by removing and retaining possession and control over documents that are the property of the US Government. This disqualifies him from holding future office. Womp. Womp.
Can the president read classified documents? Why or why not?
It's not about him holding future office. I could care less if he does or not. And if you think it will stop the conservatives from voting if he can't hold office, you're nuts! All you are doing is driving more people to the polls. Arizona is proof positive of that.
No one like abuse of power from the DOJ, FBI and IRS.

After every republican political leader and sm personality called on the DOJ to release the warrant. DOJ has asked for permission to do so. Trump may say no. Where will that leave the republicans demanding its release?
