Not to get off topic, but I'm not sure why that's a problem. The last pres made sure his pick was a woman for similar reasons and no one seemed to take issue with that.
Jen on the other hand seems overly eager after three months to publicly introduce her new guy and his response was something along the lines of wow you know a lot of white women, let's pair up and change the world. Feels strategic.

I don’t want to drag her or the relationship. Maybe it’s amazing and the right thing and the right timing. Who knows.
I just can’t trust a word she says. So it all feels so fake and contrived.
I was a total fan and follower for years and now it’s hard to read anything she posts without total snark and cynicism.
I’d respect the hell out of her if she ditched social media except for the occasional post and just lived her life.
And one of my friends NAILED it with the uptick and prevalence of her over the top posts over the past few months s. She’s like “she has a guy. This summer was still heartache and hard times and then like a switch everything was amazing and look look look look at me.”

I just went to Facebook link she posted of the guy that is worthy of her. Read two posts and my God, they could have been written by Jen and posted on her page and no one would have known the difference. Exact. Same. Stuff.

Jen read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and got sick of seeing all of the boob pics Brandon posts of his new girlfriend. She found someone that will excite her minions and increase her street cred. The new boyfriend is a “public figure” too, and probably just doubled his follower count (if not more).
