Actually I do care what my coach thinks. I pay $5k a year when all is said and done for my kid to play soccer with this club and I don't want to waste more money signing up for programs that our coach doesn't want us participating in!

What prevents you from asking your coach what they think. Do you ask your coaches opinion on any outside training you may or may not participate in? Ask before you sign up for any camps?

Yes, I do ask our coach about all of these things.

That seems to be the real problem. Coach should be on the same page with the club???

Details should come from the coach!

This complaint is dumb. Its efficient to send all the important details out to everyone at the same time.

+1
Mass emails ensure the details are consistent. Telling person to person easily leads to inconsistent details.

wrong. the details vary from one age group to another so sending a mass email is more confusing then just sending the details for YOUR KIDS AGE GROUP.

Anonymous wrote:My email was clear. THey said we'll train in location A unless location A is not available then we'll go to B, but if only part of B is available, then we'll move to C only for the kids with late birthdays.
The consistency of the coaches will be very beneficial to all kids (like last year) so it'll be one of the futsal coaches unless it's not then it'll be another "functioning" adult who will be able to split the kids in half and have them scrimmage the whole time without any directions.

yep, clear as mud

It's not dumb. the club administrator should not be the contact for this stuff. Or if she is going to send it out she should be able to tell us more abotu the program and not some AI description. it isn't even clear where the sessions will be held for each age group. the futsal emails were VERY confusing.

I agree. Especially an administrator who is brand new and does not seem to know about anything that is going on in the club (and takes forever to respond). Also, different coaches may or may not want their players participating in different programs for various reasons so this messaging should come from someone who is able to communicate the messaging and make it clear who should sign up for these programs. My other kid plays for a neighboring club and their communications are so much more clear.
