I left for a few hours, came back and this thread is full of pedo apologists making excuses for these men. I am absolutely disgusted.
Of course they knew how young they were. Court filings indicate this. Plus it is obvious from the pictures we have seen.
Do not blame these victims. They were groomed. It was an entire operation led by wealthy and powerful people. They knew how to manipulate young girls.

The more important question is why are married men going to an island with someone of Epstein's reputation?
In the Mother Jones article someone posted upthread, Epstein told one guy who wanted to go to the island with his wife that women weren’t allowed. Again, isn’t this a red flag?

Could the girls have left at any time? They were offered money and agreed to engage in prostitution. I knew better when I was 12 and 13. I knew what a prostitute was when I was 13. I had a job and was very independent at age 14, so I am having a hard time understanding why these teens felt so trapped and victimized. I had older men hit on me and I essentially told them they were creeps.
