I don’t think average democrats are posting on DCUM a Saturday night. I’m only chiming in to refute this statement. I’m a very liberal dem, really despise Trump, and think this is all horrible. Political violence is horrible.

Anyone who believes that this was a staged event truly isn't living in reality. And, we have heard from some of these people tonight.


It may not have been staged, PP, that's true. But the craziness of the rabid right-wingers make it plausible that they did stage this terrible event. They are so fueled by conspiracy theories and lie after lie after lie, all spewed by their wounded-in-the-ear leader makes it seem entirely plausible that these people who never, ever tell the truth staged this event.

No, I’m thrilled about him being wise enough to know the difference between a party that lies to their base and a man who wants to keep his country a free country. And that he can think for himself.

He will never believe what Trump said when Pelosi was attacked! Show him that, too.

Make sure to show him Trump vowing revenge on his enemies, too. And that there’s a list. And that there’s a guy charged with making that happen.

That’s the sign of a desperate campaign. They know Trump is a loser. He already lost to Biden so they’re clinging to the “sympathy vote.” Unsure what thinking person would vote for someone simply because they got grazed by a bullet at a campaign rally.

Especially after Trump has spent years glorifying violence and making fun of people who got wounded. By Trump’s own metric we should be mocking the fact that he didn’t jump when he saw the bullet.

But of course we’re not monsters. I condemn violence. I just wish that the GOP showed a fraction of the same care for the thousands of children gunned down in classrooms and told “thoughts and prayers” and subject to the insane harassment of right wingers who call them all staged.
