Wouldn't worry a lot about whether your DD makes it or not, as it does not have much, if any, impact over the longer term with actually important things like getting into showcases like Best in Class, Juniors Open, or American Select in future years.
I would have agreed with this statement yesterday but after seeing the roster and knowing who made it without attending tryouts I have a better sense of how this played out and it doesn’t have much to do with actual lacrosse playing
This for 2030 age group too? My daughter did not make it, but a few of the girls that did make it were very good players.
The vast majority of the girls are top players from top teams. There are a couple of clear misses on cuts and 1-2 who didn’t tryout who many don’t seem to know. I’d assume like everything there’s some politics, but it’s really 2-4 spots at the bottom of the roster in most cases.

Heros did have the most amount of girls trying out. Looks like they tried to take at least 1 player from the other clubs that were there.

Is this an autobot response that Cap has going every time this is mentioned about the 28s, are you trying to make my point? And "meaning no offense" to you, but I doubt any of these clubs ask for your evaluation of these players.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:We're going to find out. I suspect the passing and catching jab was a joke. Still, Cap knows this is the crucial year to their model. Lost nearly a dozen girls to MD clubs. 29s are watching and the 2 top teams are conveniently right next door to each other as BLC ends at 8th. TBD.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:What are the chances we can get a number of them to tryout for Capital in a couple years?Anonymous wrote:If you were at the tryout, the HG girls were the majority of the best players.
Why would they? It would be a step down. HG is significantly better than the area clubs that feed into Capital. Watch closely with the 29's, Capital will struggle to get the top DC area girls. Who knows what will happen with the 2030's.
How are 28 Capital expected to look with so many local girls staying on MD teams?
Meaning no offense to anyone, there may be a dozen players on MD teams, but not all of them would have made Cap Blue.
Every year Capital has to deal with DC-area girls playing on MD teams and they still do just fine. Look at the 2026 commitments page and see how many of the DC-area players play for MD teams.

Lot of pressure on the 28s. Hope the coaches that know this don't put any extra on them.
