Is that really the best you can do? How sad.
Ok Terry is a grifter with sleazy business practices.
Youngkin is a private equity sleaze bag who got rich by dismantling businesses and laying off working class people.
Is that the best you got? Youngkin has no federal probes into his business dealings but your guy Terry sure does. Selling access to the White House and giving out Visa's . Yep great candidate. Of yeah and promised jobs that never came to VA with Green Tech. I can go on and on and on......... invested 100 in a land deal and made 2.5 Million just because he is such a fab businessman.

Anonymous wrote:Off topic - but does McAuliffe have presidential chances? He does seem to be a moderate Dem and often southern state candidates have more nationwide appeal. Is there anything disqualifying about him? Didn't live here during his first term so IDK what the big controversies may have been.

The average Virginian is pretty moderate (socially liberal leaning and fiscally conservative leaning). They might be anti-abortion for their own choices but they’re not ones to tell others what to do or impose their personal beliefs on someone else and are pro-choice for others.
I do not see the majority of Virginians finding pro-life measures and outlawing abortion to be a priority and in fact most will find it too overreaching and indecent. They will not support this in the numbers you suggest, not at all.
I have lived in Virginia all my life all over the commonwealth. Virginians aren’t known to be extreme on either end. So this knee jerk reaction that Virginians are chomping at the bit and just waiting for Youngkin to get elected so abortion can be banned is offensive. First there would have to be a law on his desk to sign. I don’t think it will get to that point, not anytime soon.
So stop painting Virginians as extreme right pro life marching single issue voter crazy trains. We’re not.
Are you kidding? We are talking about the VA GOP legislators here. From 2012-2020, the VA Republicans forced women to get a vaginal probe and 24-hr waiting period before getting an abortion. This was happening up until LAST YEAR when the Ds took over.
And the 2021 Rs are even crazier than the 2012 Rs. Of course they will try to pull that Texas crap here.

Disinformation Urban Moms yet again:
Please, let’s put truth out there. I am pro-choice and that was never actually part of the law that passed, people.

Yes, already clarified a few times now.
Up until LAST YEAR (when Ds took over) the GOP required women to get an u/s and wait 24 hrs. Politicians forced unnecessary medical procedures on women for almost a decade.
And that was 2012 Republicans. 2021 Republicans are even more insane. They will not hesitate to push the Texas-style ban.
Have you ever HAD an abortion anywhere? I did. Outside of VA, did ultrasound at 1st appointment. Nothing unusual there.
Education more important. ALL children need a good education. Few get abortions.
I agree with you that education is the most important issue, which is why I don't trust the GOP candidate. I don't understand the argument that Republicans care more about education. Can you give an example of how this is true? Are GOP led states better in terms of education? Besides saying he is anti CRT, what has Youngkin proposed?

The astroturfing is well funded. All those signs were paid for with Koch money.

Well said.
I think you are forgetting about the GOP/Trump supporters outside of NoVa.
Uh, Trump is not on the ballot in Virginia. Did you not know that?
Uh, PP didn't say he was.
GOP and Trump supporters will absolutely be voting for Youngkin.
Trump is actively campaigning for Youngkin.
Youngkin welcomed Trump's endorsement.
Youngkin actively has pushed Trump's lie about "election integrity".
Youngkin is a Trump Republican.
The GOP is actively pushing to restrict voters' rights.
The GOP is actively pushing to restrict women's rights.
Youngkin has NEVER said that the Biden did not legitimately win the 2020 election. He has been asked this several times and not once did he ever say the election was ridged or false.
Trump has never campaigned with Youngkin. He has never been at any rally or event in Virginia for him. Ever. Sure there is some sort of telly rally (whatever that is) but that's it.
This is a state wide election. This is not a national or federal election. Virginians want people from the other 49 states to but out! STOP using us and our election as your prop or stage for whatever national or personal agenda you have. Stop trying to make dots connect that aren't even close. Most Virginians can't stand Trump. He didn't win in 2016 or 2020 there. Trump barely even campaigned in Virginia for 2020 because of it.
I cannot stand people with no real connection to Virginia (they aren't from here, work here, live here) barging in to take advantage of the political moment for their own personal or professional or political gain, taking advantage of the people who do live here, and then come Wednesday they're gone on to their next big thing and we are all still sitting here having to deal with whatever happens. Stay home.
Also no one pays any attention to Amanda Chase, she's a nut job.
+100
And Youngkin has said *repeatedly* that Biden won in 2020.
