You are correct. There were zero people allowed at the Capitol at the time who didn’t work there due to Covid.
1. Loudermilk says he had about a dozen people in his office the day before Jan 6. He said they were peaceful protesters who had already gathered at the Mall by the Capitol. He doesn’t say he gave a tour. I think I remember they were not allowing the public in?

2. He wasn’t on the floor when the mob broke in, because he was waiting until it came time to “argue” for Georgia’s vote. I thought that was a weird word to use.
3. I am reminded the coup didn’t succeed only because ordinary men (and maybe women? I don’t know) among the Capitol Police showed up for work and were suddenly fighting a mob who gouged out eyes, dragged a LEO down steps, hit a LEO over the head with a fire extinguisher, tried to squeeze one to death in a door. Ordinary Americans placed their bodies between Democracy and the mob. They didn’t give an inch. I’m gonna rewatch Eugene Goodman’s smart maneuver. Thank you, (most! of the) Capitol Police!!!!

This committee is a farce. A joke.
If they have "evidence," they need to release the tape proving this allegation instead of making public accusations. Let's see the evidence.

WASHINGTON - Committee on House Administration Ranking Member Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) and Committee Member Congressman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) issued the following statement on the partisan 1/6 Select Committee falsely accusing Mr. Loudermilk of leading a tour through the Capitol on January 5, 2021:
"A constituent family with young children meeting with their Member of Congress in the House Office Buildings is not a suspicious group or 'reconnaissance tour.' The family never entered the Capitol building.
"The 1/6 political circus released the letter to the press before even notifying Mr. Loudermilk, who has still not received a copy. The Select Committee is once again pushing a verifiably false narrative that Republicans conducted 'reconnaissance tours' on January 5th. The facts speak for themselves; no place that the family went on the 5th was breached on the 6th, the family did not enter the Capitol grounds on the 6th, and no one in that family has been investigated or charged in connection to January 6th.
"We stand by our previous Ethics complaint against Representative Mikie Sherrill and 33 other Democratic Members of the House who made unsubstantiated claims that Republican members gave 'reconnaissance tours' of the Capitol. Any member who pushes false allegations against another member should be held accountable.
"We call on Capitol Police to release the tapes."

Tune in, Cupcake. It’s gonna be live in prime time for all to see.

Who can say how the GOP might be able to manage to evade consequences again, but the walls are slowly closing in on them.
I am completely jaded. They will evade and deflect and blame Democrats. White Supremacy will continue to rise, here and in Europe. Pseudo-Christian nationalism will influence legislation and who gets to choose which freedoms. Science will take a back seat.
Ugh. This is in the back of my mind but I’m not ready to process it.
I’m not ready to throw in the towel and surrender the country to the christofascists.
It is so ironic that they wrap themselves in the US Constitution and the American Flag while trying to cram their religious beliefs on the majority of Americans.
