So sentencing will still happen on Thursday, but will defer execution of the sentence until the new trial motion is resolved.

If the new trial motion is not resolved to Stone's favor, can he still appeal to a higher court or he has to serve his sentence while appealing?

“He didn’t work for my campaign,” Trump just says of Roger Stone.

If that is the case, then that means the evidence that Stone was sharing lists and getting help fundraising by the Trump campaign manager means Manafort and Stone broke the law.

85% of the former prosecutors are republicans. Many of them have signed the petition. Read the Ayers article in The Atlantic.

That is not true.

You do realize there are probably tens of thousands of former DOJ prosecutors? 2000 is a drop int he bucket.
I heard this morning that there are approximately 10,000 lawyers currently working at DOJ.

Not only that but the petition was started by a liberal based group (Protect Democracy) backed by many who worked for Clinton and Obama. Clearly they think Barr is close to uncovering the weaponizing of the DOJ for political gain.

Protect Democracy is bipartisan, as is the horror at Barr’s weaponizing of the DOJ.

So....2,000 people calling for your resignation is nbd? How often are you called on to resign? Just an ordinary event, I suppose....

It was a D.C. federal grand jury that indicted Attorney General John Mitchell. Are any secret grand juries empaneled right now? I think there's good evidence of obstruction of justice if 2,000+ former prosecuters say there is.

Can we place bets on how soon Barr will be gone? My bet is 3:00 Friday.

I hope he is disbarred so he can only work as a clerk the rest of his miserable life. I bet he's a multimillionaire though so he can just retire.
