Thank you PP. Apparently the only way to get TLC and the Duggars to stop pimping out their family is via the wallet. Which makes total sense. As soon as it's no longer a cash cow, they will pull the plug.

I'm a Christian, go to church with my kids, try to teach them right from wrong, and there is no way on God's green earth I would cover up sexual predatory behavior from ANY of my three kids. I have a 13 year old son, and if I had an inkling that he was touching one of his sisters, or any young child inappropriately, I would get him treatment, (which yes, means a licensed therapist - who would be a mandatory reporter) and get the victims help ASAP. I know as a mom that I would not be doing my son or my girls any favors by sweeping this under the rug or pretending nothing was happening. And I can't even imagine parading my kids on TV, spouting crap that is completely opposite of what they are experiencing at home.

And no, it is NOT normal behavior for 13, 14, 15 year old boys to fondle young, pre-teen girls. Unless they are child molesters.

Earlier in the thread there were people talking about how this wasn't a big deal because the statute of limitations had run out, blah blah blah. Alison Arngrim (Nellie Oleson) was a victim of child sexual assault by her brother and she worked very hard to change some of the laws around statutes of limitation and punishments (in the State of California it used to be something ridiculous like child sexual assault wasn't punishable if it was done by a family member). Maybe this case will spur lawmakers to work on that idiotically short statute of limitations. I'm guessing Josh isn't cured and mandated therapy would be beneficial

Payless ShoeSource and Choice Hotels both say they're cutting ties with all future episodes of the TLC program.

Several customers voiced complaints to Payless and the company responded by saying, "Our ads ran during this show as part of a larger buy w/ TLC. We are taking steps to have them removed from future episodes." Choice Hotels said, "We have decided to remove our advertising from the show."

Walgreens, another major advertiser with TLC, posted a response saying that they were continuing to monitor the situation.

It's like when the political board was discovered by NRA advocates in the wake of Newton. You can't reason with these people - they are only here to spew vitriol (while not even realizing that it what they are doing and that it does nothing to help their cause).

I am aghast how anyone can be apologetic for the Duggars.

There are good, decent, honorable people of a variety of faiths.

None of those words can be applicable to the Duggar parents, their cult brand of Christianity, or Josh. And please spare me the "he was 14" bullshit. Josh was making jokes about incest on the show, as a grown ass man. That's not what remorseful people do.
