Dont disagree with the first part but I do the second. High level Aug - Dec kids could be greatly impacted. Not from a skill level, but from a team level. They could still play “up” but would that be best when trying to go to college since their graduation year won’t match with their team? If they play “down” then they’re on a completely new team with maybe 3-4 players they’ve played with before and possibly not as challenged, but they would be on grade when recruiting starts. I think both scenarios qualify as being impacted.

Unless you’re playing up most kids will be replaced. Maybe 7 or 8 current starters will be left per team on average.
If you’re a sub or low min player you’re out…
Jan to July people to learn what RAE is.
And within 6 months of playing down pine riders in BY will find their way to the bench under SY.
All the parents that think playing down will be their kids magic ticket to success will find out that it wasnt RAE keeping their kid from starting.
🤣🤣🤣 I mean actual studies come to a very different conclusion but because you say it, it must be true.
No offense meant, but that isn’t what the studies say. You’re readying your own hope into the studies.

Olders could care lrss.
Wrong, our B08 RL just beat B09 NL 3:0 in a preseason scrimmage. If my son were 2 months younger, he could easily make the 09 NL team.

RAE isn't a magic wand, it happens over years -- which means many of the Jan-Aug players will likely hold their own, especially for any team currently playing 11v11. Don't forget each time likely will be losing their current Aug-Dec players.
And RL players? Their best shot to get to an NL club will be changing clubs and it won't be easy.
On top of that, you have club politics that will affect rosters, except for the elite of elites who are utterly ruthless (already) but they won't be taking RL players.
Just check the past summer tournaments, younger ECNL teams get destroyed by older RL or even local teams when playing up.
Age cutoffs impact who will star at showcases and even who makes national teams. All players impacted as the best 3-4 on team go to middle of team and some from middle of team to the best 3-4 one year down. This impacts confidence which greatly affects play.Anonymous wrote:This thread is hilarious. Full of trolls and neurotic parents. Teams will continue to focus on size and speed so RAE is a major wand. Kids born in May-July are the most vulnerable and any kid Jan-July kid not in the top 7-8 on the team should find a backup team asap. Bigger deal on the boys side as it is more competitive and the size/speed differences can be extreme. It's been a long countdown for sure. Kids guest practicing for new teams only a few months away.Anonymous wrote:There will be disruption, but a lot of comments here are typical toxic youth soccer trash talk.
