This was clearly attempted murder by a crazy guy. Video should’ve been released within days of it happening to dispel all the appearance of conspiracy.
Also, the 911 call taker needs to be fired. Unforgivably horrible job on her part.
Hope Mr Pelosi recovers fully. He’s lucky to be alive.
surely you know there is a reason the law works slowly. they absolutely have to get it right. maybe people need to learn how to be patient, reasonable citizens, not children who need instant gratification.
The video has absolutely nothing to do with how slowly the wheels of the courts turn. The video is the video. It doesn’t change a thing.
well... I hope someday you find yourself in the position where the police have a video of you and rush it out without careful procedures.
If I ever find myself in that position, I hope so to. Then there will be no rumors or speculation about whatever happened.
since you seem quite childish, I imagine there will be lots of rumors. Everybody knows not to jump to conclusions when these things happen, except you. only children listen to rumors or speculation after things like this.
Why is it that every time you post, you feel it necessary to be insulting? Why is that? Do you imagine it adds something?
Not PP but I think insults are warranted for those who believed the worst BS about this horrific incident without any facts or evidence.
Hmm. Kind of like those who believed the lies of a certain D-list actor in Chicago, even with zero facts or evidence? Or those who believed the 35 year old allegations against a certain SC justice, even without any facts or evidence? Oh.

Except the point of that particular discussion you’re commenting on had only to do with the delay in releasing the video.
Are insults warranted there?
NP. One side shouldn't have to always be the grownups. When people keep doing the same stupid thing over and over again, it should be called out. When that stupid thing is telling lies or believing lies, yeah, a lot of us are past the point of being nice and giving the benefit of the doubt. It would be different if the people who were telling the lies weren't following someone who's gimmick is calling other people names and making up insults. But no, that's not the case here.
Dear Lord. There is thread after thread on this board going back YEARS of lies, gossip, and other crap where liberals on here speculated, made conjectures, and assumed very negative things about people with whom they disagree. And, many of those threads are active today.
Please save us the righteous indignation.
Oh look it’s another RWNJ! This is totally the fault of republicans and conservatives. Not one of your leaders or elected officials has condemned this violence. Why do you post here, loser? You are celebrating a 82 year old man being beaten with a hammer because you do not like his wife’s politics. Conservatives are sick f’s.
Perhaps do your homework before spewing hate.

I don't understand what was happening. Paul is not telling the 911 operator enough for her to understand, but he's not whispering, and Depape is there. What was the situation that Paul could ask for Capitol Police in front of Depape, but not just tell the operator he needed help?

Pelosi is clearly trying to clue in the operator without angering the intruder.
+1 I don’t understand how people don’t get this. The intruder is right next to him and his voice is on the frigging call.

F you psychopaths? What?
Are you confused? Rs accused Pelosi of lying about the attack. Clearly his story was truthful. Didn't know the guy, called 911, tried to hold the hammer, but got assaulted by a crazy man.
Look, Skippy. I'm an R and never accused him of lying. So, be a peach and stop lumping everyone together.
There was a lot of discrepancy in the reports coming out. People were confused as to HOW this guy got in, WHO answered the door, and other details. Many people were questioning what really happened.
IOW - Cool your jets.
Actually, there wasn't much confusion but your media purposely injected all sorts of theories into the story, none of which were true.
There was confusion about the guy, not the attack
That’s simply not true.
There was a lot of confusion... and some of it was from conflicting reports by the police.
I wasn't confused. Most of us weren’t confused. Some of you Republicans were “confused” deliberately to try to avoid accepting the fact that there was a violent attack against the spouse of the speaker of the House who is reviled in Republican circles and by Republican tv personalities and Republican tv/news.
+1. There was no "confusion." There was the now routine conspiracies from right wingers. If you believed this stuff you are being manipulated by right wing news sources.
I'm confused as heck watching the video. At least we now know that the outward glass was Depape pulling the glass outwards, but the reaction and expression on both of their faces when they let the cops in is wierd as hell. It's like like stupid viral video level setup before the swinging starts.

Anyone stupid enough to think that the police are going to instantly release a video during an ongoing investigation may also be worth of insults.
