Actually, If I’m inhaling smoke and medically vulnerable, the LAST thing I want is to get Covid from the idiot fire fighter. Besides if he’s anti science for vaccines, I would wonder what other anti-science views he might have. Maybe he thinks there are tracking chips in oxygen?
Good Riddance!
Wait. What? If you’re in an emergency situation … You’d rather die of smoke inhalation because there aren’t enough firefighters? There isn’t a 100% chance of catching it when exposed to someone with it and that assumes the unvaxxed firefighter rescuing you even has it. And if they already had it they have some immunity.
You make no sense. You’d rather a trained pro stand and watch you die in a fire than help you. Yeah, right.
It's a moot point. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of qualified candidates begging to take their place. As the PP mentioned, the last time DCFD had a hiring event they had to use the Convention Center because there were so many applicants.
Any firefighters who quit due to vaccine will be replaced before they can clean out their locker.

Wrong. There is a lot of vaccine hesitancy among African Americans - over 40 percent are reluctant to take the vaccine, according to one survey.

That puts them in line with the over 40% of any Americans who are reluctant to take the vaccine. Your point?

But I don’t care. Either way:
If you don’t get vaxed, you should get axed.
You'll care when there are not enough EMS/ff.
Once again, that won’t happen, especially for firefighters. They are sought after jobs with more applicants than they can hire for a well paying job that does not require a degree.

If you think people are just lining up to work as firefighters in DC, you're completely out of touch with reality.
Are you kidding? Paid firefighting is one of the most competitive industries there is. You basically have to be related to a current firefighter to even have a chance to get hired.
