For a very few, MIT is definitely worth the money. For the rest, it makes no difference.
Crazies are coming out.
GMU = MIT
Coding Bootcamps = GMU
Ergo, Coding boot camps = MIT
No one said GMU = MIT you fool. What they are saying is that MIT will benefit a very few but a majority of them will make the same money as people graduate from GMU. The federal government pays you the same starting salary regardless of MIT or GMU for the same degree.
The difference is, while GMU needs a federal handout, MIT prefers to start their own startups. GMU people are consumers of what MIT, CMU, Stanford, Columbia... produce in technology. No one’s ever gone to GMU and came out a leader in his or her field.

Everyone in the engineering side of the computer biz knows the average CMU CS grad is heads and shoulders above the average state flagship grad, with perhaps exception of Berkeley grads.
That is correct but that does not mean it translates into CMU grad makes more money than GMU grad. The average CMU grad makes the same salary as GMU grad. My oldest graduated from CMU with 3.7GPA in CS and he works for Amazon for 120k starting salary. His younger brother graduated from JMU with 3.6 GPA in CS because he wanted to play sport there as a recruited athlete, also works for Amazon in sale for 120K starting salary. That was two years ago. The younger one just got promoted last year and he is making 145k. His older brother is still making 120k.
Again, we can only compare averages. The brothers probably have similar IQs which may be par for CMU and above for GMU.
Someone have to graduate at the bottom half at CMU, right? Is it worth the money to attend CMU if you graduate in the bottom half at CMU?
You need to compare bottom half 50% CMU with bottoms 50% GMU. The median CMU CS salary is $115,000. The median GMU CS salary is $59,000. Start from there.

Yes, cuz bottom 10% CMU still lords over top 90% GMU.
