I hope everyone is safe. Please do not go into your flooded basement unless you are sure that the power is out and the water not charged.

Really? We had a lot of rain, loud thunder and lightning in my City of Bowie neighborhood. It woke us up.

- Del Ray, where we got 5 inches in one hour.
It’s definitely a competition. I guess I should have told my youngest daughter to shaddap and go back to sleep because it was…worse in Del Ray?

I don't mean to make it into a competition, but it got really tiring a week ago when people were constantly posting about how SOME homes in Del Ray flooded, and they don't know how people could live in a place like this with rivers, etc, but having zero idea of just how much torrential the rain was in such a short period of time.
And I guarantee the same people sh!tting on Del Ray experiencing flooding are the same people who are now like: "omg, so much rain!" 2" in an hour, or 4-5" in a day is nothing. Laughably nothing.
That said I sincerely hope everyone and their home is safe and without damage.
Are you the person who thinks everyone is jealous of people that live in Del Ray?
I don't think everyone is jealous of living in Del Ray.
But I'm not sure what kind of person would insert themselves into a conversation about home damage from very severe weather in a neighborhood they don't live in, just to comment negatively on that neighborhood, if they didn't have some envy.
NP. My goodness, then take it up with THAT POSTER, in that completely different thread. Not one person in this thread had done anything other than report out and commiserate until YOU came along to make this a competition. Grow up.
Uh, I am, in responding to their comment here.
Provide the time stamp. Not one person has said anything about “why do you live somewhere with two rivers” or whatever in *this* thread. I believe you that someone said something to that effect in *a different* thread. But your comments to them should be to them, in the thread they made them.

OMG. Not just that. Insane lightning (lit up the entire house even with black out shades), ear splitting thunder, etc. It woke everyone up.

Same. I almost called my mom! Then I realized I’m 45 with 4 kids. I AM the mom. So we went to basement!
