OP, I think you've got the picture. This thread has done a really good job of explaining who "Colt" is - white, rancher, rural, QB, 4H, good ol' boy. If that's your bag, you've named well.

This tread is the reason why I only discussed my kids’ names with DH. Post any name here, and the hateful comments with start pouring. OP: if the name Colt is meaningful to you, go for it. I know a very fine young man named Colt and as far as I know, the name served him well.
