What does that have to do with anything? Sex with a minor is illegal. Sex with a student is gross.
She was 18 and they never had "sex" per Bill Clinton's definition.
Just means the laws were created to protect men. We need to change the laws. 4 years ago the 17 year old rape victim (there were 2 so far) wouldn’t even been able to have him arrested “according to the law”.
Where exact is the rape charge?

+1.
Happens all the time. DS in HS has a female coach and receives texts.

Anonymous wrote:Does MCPS release the number or percent of teachers who are put on administrative leave for a report of this nature, or for sexting or grooming or whatever, and then are returned to their position, or placed in the same position in another school? That statistic would be interesting.

She was not a minor at the time of the relationship though still a student. And yes from the text messages it seems consensual. Wonder what happened that caused her to file charges against him

The school has a passive attitude of waiting to see if there are reports as opposed to preventing sexual abuse, assault, and harassment. The school should take it more seriously since these students are minors.
Grooming is not illegal.
You missed the arrest of MCPS Richard Shemer.
