No way to even compare private vs public school ball. Heights and Good Counsel would both beat Yorktown or Riverside by 7+ goals. And those teams will lose to their top WCAC opponents by 3-5 goals next year.
Public school lacrosse is garbage. And to my Yorktown parent; please get off this page.
Anonymous wrote:Ummm....Private schools...at least in the WCAC don’t play for a “state title” If you ask anyone who knows lacrosse, they would tell you it’s better to be the WCAC champ than the VA State champ. There has been no unified lacrosse champion in this area since maybe 1990 when the WALL(Washington Area Lacrosse League) existed and you had SJC/GZ etc playing Robison/Lake Braddock and other Nova teams all the time.

Anonymous wrote:Any of the MD public schools who won their state divisions would boat race Yorktown. Give it a rest. Riverside would be a contest.....But Severna Park or Urbana or Towson would obliterate Yorktown.

EHS was crowned state champs.
SJC was crowned DC Champs. Also won NHSLS on ESPNu. GZ got on ESPNu too. Yorktown is one of 3 state champs. Could they beat Dominion or Riverside? The latter had guts to schedule GZ unlike Yorktown. Dominion has played SJC before. Next season, let’s see some Yorktown games against the privates. They would beat BI and DJO.
