Every ounce of this goes back to last year’s corresponding secretary, the public figure Asra Nomani. As a member of the Executive Committee, she used her position as a 2021 parent and as a former WSJ correspondent to launch a crusade against the admissions process and inappropriately published many articles directly attacking the school’s administration in publications to include the school’s official PTSA Newsletter. She is the unquestioned leader of the status quo advocates and Q4TJ, which has become about the sorest bunch of losers this school system has ever seen.
The new president elect has also openly advocated against the admissions reforms on multiple platforms. He stands to take over as president in the 2022-23 school year, at which point he will be on record as believing the class of 2025 to be fraudulent and illegitimate.
With every word that comes out of these people’s mouths on public and anonymous platforms, they further show beyond a shadow of a doubt why these reforms are so desperately needed. The overt Asian supremacy must stop.

I think you misunderstood me. When I said shut it down, I was referring to DCUM.
I agree. Shut down the VA PTSA. Create a TJ PTO. We don't need the NEA to take over everything related to schools.

Harry was just elected. He has not done anything. He is entitled to his belief. He was elected because of his views. Baking cookies and advocating for students and parents are not mutually exclusive. There was a survey of parents where 80% of the respondents opposed to the current form of admission change. The previous board hid it. Harry wants the new board to be more transparent. It's unfortunate the current president can't take a loss and drag the VA PTA into internal conflicts.

It's a shakedown, pure and simple. The smart money have given up on school systems like FCPS already. Between the woke School Board members and the corrupt ones, it's a failed system.

Ties to extremist publications are useful in helping to nationalize and promote a political agenda by positioning TJ as an example to feed the outrage machine. There's an illiberal, authoritarian energy about all of it.

Parents are absolutely entitled to their opinion and to advocate on a personal level for or against the admissions changes. And they can join lawsuits, etc in their personal capacity. But the role of the PTA is to support all the students/parents/staff .
And, the margin of "victory" for several of the newly elected reps was 2 votes in one case so please don't tell me they have a mandate and are representing the whole school.
My hope is that after a year of this cluster, non-political candidates will come back to the PTA and return to fundraising, activity organizing, etc.
