No offer yet, but I have a 2010 and 2012 and this is the week. Let the games begin!
Don't get too excited. The Mclean mass exodus to Arlington for these age groups is very real.
Don't leave out 2013 and 2011.
Get out the popcorn for the 2011G Red and White show![]()
Why's that? Kids on those teams not happy?
There were many 2011 girls from other clubs that came to the tryout I’m assuming so there might be some changes coming
How much does the roster expand going from 7v7 to 9v9? 3 kids per team?
Yes. It can be anyway from 13-16 kids with our club (non Arlington) so probably within the same range.

Yep. My 2012 moving off red/white as a result. Apparently several others are as well.
Total sock puppetry.
Nope. Spoke with the coach. Kinda wild that ECNL is a draw for kids just mastering their times tables.

My best friend's son played for the MLS next team this year, and didn't even try out again. She said they drove to NJ or equally far on several occasions, for him to play for seven minutes of the game. There was 18 players on the roster. So doesn't sound like your theory necessarily works for all families and kids.
Ok, my point was that these patterns can be true on top U12 teams without MLS Next substitution rules. I definitely understand how that would be frustrating and was not implying otherwise. There are ecnl teams where players are not even rostered for specific games. Being on the bottom end of a roster would make any long trips very difficult, to be sure.
not being rostered seems preferable to wasting an entire day to play less than 10 minutes
