Didn't your Governor just send you an extra stimulus payment?

There can never be too much free money!

The states announcing all have Republican governors. I highly doubt Hogan wants to join them but he might, I have no idea on Northam but I don't think so either. Not a chance with Bowser.

As for the funding - it goes back to the pot. With 15 states announcing Biden should just extend out the UI funds to the remaining states. There's enough there to get through end of September, maybe October, without going to Congress for more funds.

I love how this thread is all about wah people crying about taking about poor peoples benefits, when the actual lower-middle class workers who are still working (I’m a nanny as well) want people to get back to work. It’s NOT FAIR that I had to work for the past year while with entitled and lazy parents while the rest of you nannies and other food service workers stayed home.... making more than me?

You sound as immature as the babies you supposedly care for. Waaaaah it's not fair! Instead of thanking your lucky stars that you maintained your employment when so many others didn't.

The poster is just plain dumb or too ethical to not take advantage of the free handouts.

It's not unethical to take unemployment when you're unemployed.

You’re assuming that there are no fraudulent unemployment claims or people taking advantage of the system.

You clearly haven't had to collect unemployment. The system is difficult and punitive even if your claim is legitimate. I've been waiting for 6 weeks for my benefits to kick in. There simply are not tons of people gaming the system. That is a reality that only exists in your head.
