"Parent of a kid on the team. For the record, a defender was promoted at U11 and starts. Another defender was promoted at U12 and starts. A midfielder was promoted at U13 and starts. A forward/midfielder was promoted midyear and now starts on the U14 team. I am not sure what your point is. Can’t be that BSC fails to promote. Maybe you’re saying no or few promotions at or after U14, but that’s true at all ECNL clubs.
"

My point is you are not a 'Parent of a kid on the team." You are a parent of a kid on the ECNL 1 team.

Stop the party line BSC crap; Also you came over when they went 11 v 11 from Rush. It is very obvious as to who you are despite how you think you are all stealth.

The original issue I had was not how much time is devoted to the team. That is not a huge difference. It is that whomever from BSC was writing is lying when they say promotion happens from within. It does not. Call me mad, angry, drunk, what you will. Yes I am mad. It is infuriating to see that line over and over.

Ok big guy (and I am sure you are the big guy from team 1) how many times has your team practiced with ours? (2 scrimmages one of which Kevin didnt watch is the answer) How many kids have come up in the free flowing way that email from Kevin/BSC stated? 0. Your stats. 1 came up at u 13. Right before 11 v 11. Totally agree and I cited it. U12 defender was playing most of the time with top team. Athletic but raw and came from OUTSIDE club and was up within a year. Your U14 was promoted 1. when a couple kids quit and 2. she was on the 2nd team 1 month. Came from outside. THERE IS NO PROMOTION FROM WITHIN WHICH WAS MY POINT. and a response to a crappy BSC propaganda email.

It is worse the year up. I dont have visibility into other years like I am sure you do big guy. My statements were 100% accurate. You are on the first team telling me how it is on our team. Sort of mansplaning down.

If its a good BSC second team, yes and have had friends whose kids have done well with D3 and helped to get into a college they wanted. Second teams vary a lot - so you just need to do the due diligence on the year.

D3 for the boys a lot of times is more competitive in terms of talent vs D1 and D2. First team part time players(and many times the starters) for the girls is not the ticket to playing in college...doing it from the second team is even harder. If you are a good player who can start first at another club’s first team is better vs bench on first team or second team.

Pp this is so much anger. When you're telling a coach fu, it's time for a club change. I hope your dd doesn't feel all of this from you and just enjoys playing.

I agree. This person needs to quit BSC, and quit parenting. Yikes.

Having come to BSC from another club, yes - BSC parents are cray-cray.

Very true, but some of the new parents are next-level crazy.

I think PP is correct. There are a lot of crazies out there. In last several years, I’ve seen parents on opposing ECNL teams fight each other on sidelines, parents get kicked out of games, and one parent walk on the field to yell at the refs in a tournament - and it wasn’t even a game his girl was playing in, but the game result meant his DD’s team failed to advance to the finals. There is crazy all around, including those of us reading and posting on a youth soccer gossip site.

Any up and coming producers want to start a pilot?

I have found the less communication by the coach/club means increase in parent craziness.

This is the environment a toxic coach creates..... so much destruction in so little time.

Congrats Kevin! You must be so proud!
