You don't sound reasonable.
How is it demanding and unreasonable to expect people to be responsible dog owners? It would piss me off too. I have a dog (and neighbors!) and if my dog barks when she is outside, I call her in. That is the polite and neighborly thing to do. Nobody wants to listen to your dog bark it’s head off outside.

It’s demanding if, like some posters, you expect to never hear dogs bark for more than a minute. I’d laugh in your face if you raised this complaint to me. And then point out all the annoying shit I have to listen to from your yard. You want silence, move to the middle of nowhere.

Amen to that. The world doesn't jump like your DH jumps, OP. Get used to it.
You two pp’s are the type of people who make the world a shittier place. Mission accomplished?
No, people who complain about nothing are (what you said that doesn't bear repeating because it is classless). OP, proud of yourself in the "class games" that you lost? Not everyone does what you want - time to get used to it. You are an adult.

On a previous thread I was known as air horn lady. I beeped my air horn whenever my neighbor’s dog barked. I trained my neighbor and it’s owner to stop being assholes. You’re welcome.
You were well appreciated on that thread! Did you solve the problem or does the dog still bark and you have to honk in response?

Set a timer from when you wake up and until they are brought back into the house. 5-10 minutes or 45 minutes of barking makes a big difference. With your data in hand, talk to the neighbors.
As an actual lifelong dog owner, dogs do bark. However, only trash throws their barking dog unto the backyard. Get off your lazy fat ass and walk the poor dog. The neighbors are rude trash. I bet their backyard is also full of dog shit piles.

Says who? Have you ever done shift work? If someone gets home at 3 or 4 in the morning from the job, who do you think you are to tell them they don't deserve more than a couple of hours of sleep?
I’ve worked 3rd shift. Sorry, but if your work shift is alternate to the vast majority of human beings and human activity, it’s on YOU to mitigate noise issues that disturb your sleep. Earplugs and white noise machine/fan work wonders. Don’t expect the rest of the neighborhood to conform to your weird daytime sleep schedule. If your community even has a noise ordinance, you’ll note that it conforms to human activity norms and not to 3rd shift workers.

Irresponsible self centered dog owners are everywhere. Could be one could be a whole squad.![]()

Have done similar in the post and yep it does work. A dog that stands outside and mindlessly barks at nothing for hours is probably too dumb to be trained but at least there is some hope for the owners.![]()
