Ok, moron. Where's the evidence? Math? Please show your work.

Ridiculous.

Will continue to socialize with friends (some vaxxed, some not) outside unless all the group have vaccines. If its too difficult to tell, we will be outside. I will continue to wear a mask in the same way I have done until now - in most situations except distanced outdoor exercise, putting it on when someone is close. I especially dont want to cause additional worry for someone who has not been vaxxed by coming close to them without my mask. They have no idea if I have a vaccine or not, the science on being a carrier isnt fully out, and it's moral support. We need to get through this as a country and keep the pressure up on politicians that everyone who wants a vaccine gets one as soon as possible. And then yes, we need to keep the pressure up to vaccinate kids once safe vaccines are developed.

I'm all for reopening everything once people who want to get vaccinated can, but right now there are plenty of people with underlying medical conditions who can't get vaccinated, let alone anyone who wants a vaccine. We really can't wait another month or two?
No. I can't wait another week. This is the one year anniversary of this whole debacle and I'm done.
Exactly. This pandemic is all about you.
My life is about me, yes. Sorry, but I've given you hypochondriacs a year of it. That's all you're getting.
Many of us lost loved ones. Over half a million people are dead. Maybe try to show some respect?
By doing what, exactly? Sorry that I'm happy that MD is opening up again, because the science says it's OK and the economy is on the brink. Of course the loss of life is horrible, but what is your definition of "showing respect"?
Not saying shit like, "I've given you hypochondriacs a year"? Just spitballing here. There are half a million dead "hypochondriacs," and millions of grieving family and friends. Every one who dies from now on would almost certainly not have died if they had been vaccinated. And they can't all stay home and protect themselves, without the help of everyone else. If it were just people like "my life is about me" lady who were going to get sick and die, fine, I'm okay with that. But that's usually not how it works.
Also, we haven't been on lockdown. Lots of stuff is open, some with capacity restrictions, but still open. But lifting the restrictions on activities known to be risky, like indoor dining, is going to get people killed who didn't have to die.
Your fearmongering works for a lot of people, I know, but you have zero real evidence to support this.

Are you serious? Montgomery County, Silver Spring in particular has the highest rates in the state. PG may have more positives, but fewer deaths.
Please look at the recent numbers over past few weeks. Moco has some of the lowest on critical dimensions - positivity rates, 7 day averages etc. it’s been running lower than the state averages for weeks.
On deaths, 49% of Moco deaths were nursing homes. The data on this is hard to find and the moco dashboard stopped reporting this but if you dug into the numbers, Moco was the worst in the state.

A bit of normalcy before the body count goes up.
Just stay inside if you feel that way - the rest of us can go out and enjoy life.
And I'll enjoy a less crowded town when this is all over.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This is so stupid. Is it possible for MoCo to sue to stop the Governor? At least get an injunction that drags out for a few months to allow vaccination numbers to rise? I’m all for opening up, it’s just the time’s not yet here.
When will the time be here?
MoCo is at 9.3 cases per 100,000. PG County has the highest case rate in the state and it’s only at 16 per 100,000.
MoCo has a positivity rate of 2.8%.
