And interestingly enough the city where both the DOJ and President both operate from. Put some pressure on them publicly to improve the situation. But they don't want to because they're fine with people getting off easy and don't want to lean on their own party.

Are you kidding me? They have a bully pulpit. The council is all democrats and should be banding together with Norton to be meeting with and demanding action from the justice department. Shine a light on it, but they don't want to because that would make other democrats look bad.

The thing is, Allen uses the USAG as a talking point when it suits his batty purposes. For instance, when he delivered his infamous "people are carjacking because it's cold and they need a warm space" line, he said he got that info from "someone in the USAG's office." (He didn't say who, a classic tell that he was completely making that up.) As if being cold is an excuse to use a gun to take someone's car.

But now it's the USAG's fault that crime is rising. Unbelievable.
