What were your kid’s final letter grades for just seventh grade classes last year?
My kid got an A in PE and an A in Music (each a final grade). Each was a semester long course. Are those weighted the same as a year long course in Math. So if the grades were
A PE
A Music
B Math
What is the GPA?
3.0
3.5
3.667

PP here. I think the 7th grade was approx. 3.67 (I can't tell if specials are weighted differently) at SH and we live in Ward 6.

Same. Doesn't reflect well on the the school, TBH.
How does the email going to your junk folder a reflection on the school exactly?
This is an *important* email, one that many hundreds of families are anxiously awaiting. It is disappointing that SWW didn't take the simple steps required to prevent an email blast from being spam-boxed.

+1
Some of you are truly ridiculous.

Anonymous wrote:Dumb question because now I am curious: is the GPA calculated using all grades from all four quarters of 7th grade, or just the final grade for each course? Thanks.
Anonymous wrote:There is definitely some ward weighting. I know a 3.6 kid from SH who did not get an interview and a kid with a 3.5 from a Ward 7 charter school who did.
