Ha I hate my name too. Once I tried to go by my middle one though and I kept ignoring people when they said my middle name. So I’m back to my awful name. At least I gave it a go.

We named our son Sacha. My family is Russian so it’s a very common name for boys there but we went with the CH because my husbands family is French. We get a lot of folks asking if we named him after the actor.

Hey, I just posted below you! My DS's last name is Aleksandar. Sasha (Sasha is a common nickname in my country too!) I agree CH for Sasha is just wrong to me.

I wish I gave my DS a middle name after my dad. I am from another country, and the spelling was different, so I gave him just a middle name common in both countries. I thought at that moment, no, give dad's name... But, as I just gave birth, it felt like a was in the moment rush decision.
I regret not just trusting my instinct. DS is 21, and I've regretted this decision ever after. My dad passed away in 2018; he was the best grandpa that DS could ever wish for! DS would have loved to have grandpa's name. My dad would have loved it too. My dad could not love DS any more than he did, but I am sure he would have like that I named my kid, even the middle name, after him.

I was one of three Elizabeths on my (small) basketball team when I was in elementary school (in the 1970s).

I must know what this unused name is! Mine is Beatrice. I know it’s trendy now, but it wasn’t when I suggested it for our DC a decade ago. We wound up having a boy. I always thought we’d have a second and if a girl, she would have been a Beatrice. Life took a different turn but I still think about the Bea that wasn’t.

Woah. I’m pregnant with #3 now and we went for it just to use Beatrice. My dh and I just had a longing for years for our Bea. I think we always knew we’d have 3 kids but had #2 been a Beatrice, maybe not! We talked about baby bea so much that our family never felt complete, dh more so than me.

Guys, my name is Karen. I always hated my name and now with this whole "a Karen called the cops on a black person for existing" stuff, I dislike it even more.
