Find a 2 week board and Twain that at least gets the dog crate trained then find a training program and stick with it. Consistency is what dogs crave. And yelling never works.

This dog is now about 85lbs and still growing! She is literally the worse dog I’ve ever owned. My DH has let it slip out that she is incorrigible and the most ill mannered dog he’s ever owned. Trying to train her has been exhausting to say the least. You can’t take your eyes off of her for one second or she will pee on a rug or jump up on counters to steal food. She goes out probably 10 times a day so the peeing is just her lack of discipline. She goes to daycare 6 full days a week because my DH can’t deal with her. He wanted a companion to take to his office but the few times he’s taken her she’s been so destructive and also pees. He keeps saying she’s a puppy but I really don’t see her changing. She has actually gotten worse with age. She’s in a constant drive for food and attention! I’ve never seen anything like it.

What is the dog now -- like 8 months old? It is going into puberty and if it isn't trained now, it's going to be such a disaster. If you had rehomed the dog as a puppy, it would have been so much easier for someone to try to train it. It's only going to get worse and worse as time goes on.
I agree and frankly, they both dropped the ball. 8 month old large breed is peeing constantly? WTF? My 4 month old medium to large breed hasn't had an accident in weeks. Dog should have been surrendered as a puppy or, ideally, never brought home in the first place. This is insanity. Someone needs to commit to this dog. That can be OP and DH or another family, but no one is doing right by this animal. I am not someone who says, "surrender the dog" very often, if ever, but this animal is not getting what it needs to thrive. Puppy daycare doesn't count, it needed (and still desperately needs) training. A board and train might be an idea, but you have to be prepared to be trained yourself and constantly reinforce those concepts, knowing you're behind the ball on all of this.

I agree 100% but my DH refuses! But he hinted if she continues to have these bouts of explosive diarrhea he will rethink it. But like I said I know it’s the anxiety she gets when crated. Especially because when we got her my DH was very inconsistent with her crating and refused to crate her during the day therefore her crate became a negative thing for her.
I would take the dog to the shelter and tell DH it’s you or the dog. He sounds like he’s too lazy to put up much of a fight.
A shelter!? Are you crazy? She might not be perfect with her separation anxiety issues but certainly doesn’t belong in a shelter with a bunch of mongrels!!!
