Michelle is stunning and a fashion icon. She's maybe a size 8/10 which is a pretty normal size, small even, but still a size that makes women feel less confident in revealing clothes.

I love a drop shoulder top if it's done right. So many of them look disgusting and baggy around the armpit area, but if they're tighter there, it looks just fine. This is one thing that Old Navy actually did really well this year (yes, I'm working from home and literally not going anywhere, I am exclusively buying cheap clothes this season). I have a couple dropped shoulder tunics that are soft and comfortable and not weirdly baggy around the arm pit.

I am petite and short-waisted so this is going to be extremely unpopular - I don't like the high-waisted pants that are so popular right now. I am having the hardest time finding pants that don't give off an Urkel vibe. Literally every pair of pants I've tried on lately has come up to my boobs. It's awful. Even my favorite jeans stopped making a mid-rise version and are only offered in high-rise. I am devastated.

DP, mom jeans have been trendy among 12 year olds for a couple years now. They are called mom jeans because they are slightly baggy and high cut around the waist area so as to accommodate a mom body. Ok, something that is terrible for me and ok for everyone else:

Wrap tops and wrap dresses. Usually these are stretchy polyester so you’re not starting with the best material, but an addition issue I have is that they make one book look gigantic and the other look wee little. I haven’t bought wrap anything in at least 7 years because I’m so self conscious of this.

Same.

And many people will disagree but: jumpsuits and rompers. And clothing item that does not enable ease in the bathroom is suspect.

They look good on Halle Barry. I agree they don’t look good on most people—big chested, small chested, doesn’t seem to work for either.


I’m petite and strapless dresses truly do look good on me. I’m a D cup. It’s easier now for me to find petite dresses, but I can remember sooo many straps falling down on me.
